Not sure what i'm doing wrong when raising an exception

I feel like I'm doing everything correct here, but I still get an improper indentation error whenever I check work.

suggestinator.py 
def suggest(product_idea):
    return product_idea + "inator"
    if len(product_idea) < 3:
        raise ValueError("Please use more than 3 characters!")

return exits the function immediately...will your exception ever get thrown?
