I need a little help writing a CSS

I am a little confused were to put the curly brackets {}

You need to add the element you are referring to:

  <style>
    h1 {
      color: blue;
    }

What element are you trying to style? Put the style tags in the head of the document and set it up like this:

<head>
<style>
  h1 {
    color: blue;
  }
</style>
</head>
