Photoshop effect

Hi guys< hopefully some of you can help me out with this.

Need to achieve and effect as similar as possible as the image on the link below

I have been applying filters like the pixelate effect, poitillize or others to try to achieve some similar effects as the one showing in the image on the link below.. and not results. :(

That may look kind of okay in a big sized image. but in my case I need the effect to remain good in an small size like 200x200px

So I apply the affect but when scaling down the picture to 200 x 200 the effect is not Noticeable and it looks like a regular grayscale image

Thank you very much guys

Have you tried setting your image size to what you want it to be in the final product? I would think you could also make the shade of the effect shade darker to give more contrast at smaller sizes.

Hi Chris, Yes I did that, but the effects setting a that small size make the image all fuzzy, you can try very quick and you will see . Im very frustrated with that. I see effects like that in news papers or magazines. and I keep looking for tutorials online but nothing that can get close of what I'm looking for :(

The photo you posted is what you want for the effect right? Do you have the actual image online somewhere?

yes, here is the place where I see they use that effect. As you can see, the images are small, but the effect still looks clear. ![alt text]http://www.victoryparkcapital.com/team_partners.shtml "Title")

I'm sure you already have it at the brightness you want it but if you don't, you can play around with the highpass filter on the background layer and then use brightness/black and white layers and maybe the HDR filter. For the stippling, I doubt any of the built-in Photoshop filters are going to cut it. Either they did that by hand with like a wacom tablet or possibly used a custom brush or both (I'd be leaning towards the latter). Maybe you could try this brush set. Wish I could be of more help!

Thanks Chris. Thanks so much. I will be exploring and testing this brushes, We can compare results. If you meet the goal before me, please share. I will do the same. Thanks a lot.
