Junior Backend Developer

As a Junior Software Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to work in a cross-functional delivery squad, using the latest tools and languages. You’ll feel the excitement of working in a scale-up, whilst having all the benefits of a well-funded and established industry leader.

• Working collaboratively in an agile environment, building new products and features, while exploring new ideas and technology.
• Playing an active role within a delivery squad.
• Working on a backend-weighted full lifecycle development and microservices architecture, In our fast paced and serverless environment.
• Focus on delivering high transactional, secure, stable products that deliver real Impact for customers.
• Participating In continuous learning and development to progress to the next level.

You ideally have a good understanding of basic technology, for instance how the internet works and how a serverless architecture works.

• Solid knowledge of cloud-hosted software engineering – we are migrating to AWS
• Have a good knowledge of Python and have written multiple personal, school or work projects in Python.
• The ability to work in a fast paced, learn and grow at pace.
• Passion for new technology and problem solving in an ever-evolving environment.
• A security focused approach.
• Ability to troubleshoot and handle errors gracefully.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of C#
• Experience with or exposure to lambda
• A form of AWS certification
