Product Marketing Manager

Overview

We are looking for a talented Product Marketing Manager to join our marketing team, focusing on our consumer products. The Product Marketing Manager will be own the product positioning, segmentation, and conversion funnels for our B2C products across desktop and mobile experiences. This role will report to the VP of Marketing and will work closely with product, design, and engineering teams.

Youโ€™re on a mission to drive student acquisition by thoroughly understanding our target customer, improving their conversion experience, and identifying the optimal product to meet their needs. Youโ€™ll use qualitative and quantitative data to develop and test hypotheses and work with design and engineering to execute on your vision.

You must be an organized self-starter; the ability to adapt to rapid changes is a must, given our fast-paced environment with needs and goals often changing quickly. Youโ€™re an exceptional team player, who works well with engineers, designers, and your fellow marketing colleagues. This is an early hire on a growing marketing team at an innovative company that is primed to scale.

Responsibilities

  • Drive positioning and go-to market for our consumer products and new features
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative user data to provide an ongoing roadmap of hypotheses/projects to improve marketing KPIs, with a focus on increasing conversion rate and upsell rate
  • Conduct ongoing competitive research to ensure you are the expert on our consumer products and target audiences; communicate those insights to senior management and various stakeholders to strengthen the roadmap
  • Collaborate with VP of marketing to develop and prioritize marketingโ€™s engineering project roadmap; work cross-functionally with engineering and design to execute on the roadmap

Qualifications

  • 5โ€“7 years of product marketing experience, ideally within a SaaS and/or subscription based company
  • Exceptional strategic and project planning skills; experience with issue tracking tools, like JIRA or Pivotal Tracker required
  • Strong analytical ability; experience with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc) required; experience with Optimizely, Monetate or other A/B testing tools a plus
  • General understanding of HTML/CSS/Javascript; UX design skills a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment; positive in the face of uncertainty
  • Commitment to working cross-functionally in a collaborative, team-centered culture
  • Motivated self-starter with a sense of ownership
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
