Student Success Coordinator

Overview

As a Student Success Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for helping Career Program Students gain confidence in their newly acquired skills. Measuring success will be a combination of: Answering student questions through the career program, setting up group project, conducting initial screen after completion of the Program, and coordinating interviews with employers. You’ll work with students through their job hunting progress, tracking students who land jobs.

Responsibilities

  • Discuss, clarify, and understand the needs of our students via phone and email correspondence.
  • Provide assistance and support throughout the student career program process.
  • Work under general supervision in a highly collaborative environment and use personal experience and judgment to solve problems for our students.
  • Leverage our tools to maintain effective and accurate student records and communication.
  • Communicate and collaborate with team members on opportunities for improved student experience and satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in recruiting, job placement, customer service, or comparable field highly preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Able to clearly and efficiently provide students with the help they need.
  • Demonstrated desire to network / connect to partners in the community.
  • Collaborative.
  • Constantly seeking opportunities to learn and grow.
  • Self management - Ability to quickly review a situation, (know when it is appropriate to escalate) diffuse and correct issues leading to customer dissatisfaction.
  • Agility / adaptability - Our work environment is constantly changing. Must be willing to expect and embrace change.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Time management - able to to manage multiple priorities.
