TalentPath Services Manager

Overview

The TalentPath Services Manager oversees the delivery and operations of the Treehouse TalentPath program.

TalentPath is a Treehouse program that helps employers build diverse talent pipelines and helps folks traditionally boxed out of tech gain access to careers in tech.

We partner with community organizations that serve populations that are generally not represented in tech, whether that be socio-economic, gender, race or sexual identity. We then work with these community partners to identify and select members from their community to receive a scholarship to study in our Treehouse Techdegree program. After students complete their education, they are placed in a 3-6 month paid apprenticeship with one of our employer partners who are committed to providing job opportunities for underrepresented individuals.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Lead and develop people:
    • Lead and continue to build a diverse and highly functional TalentPath delivery team at Treehouse.
    • Provide clear individual and team goals to ensure that each team member understands their role in the successful delivery of the TalentPath program.
    • Coach and mentor staff with the goal of ongoing individual improvement and retention.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the TalentPath program:
    • Manage scheduling and resource planning based on TalentPath sales projection
    • Supervise recruitment of prospective students for Talentpath scholarships
    • Monitor student/cohort progress during their learning phase of TalentPath
    • Work with employers and apprentices during the apprenticeship phase to ensure successful apprenticeship completion
    • Proactively address risks and mitigate issues to ensure successful outcome of each TalentPath cohort
  • Build and maintain successful relationships with:
    • Student apprentices
    • Employer stakeholders
    • Community partner stakeholders
  • Develop and operationalize TalentPath delivery methodologies and processes that produce the best TalentPath outcomes and are consistent with Treehouse mission and values

Other Responsibilities

  • Create and optimize processes and procedures to handle demand as TalentPath program and team scales
  • Track and report on TalentPath cohort progress
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to improve and scale operations and delivery of the TalentPath program to our students, employers and community partners

Qualifications

  • Experience with hiring, scaling and effectively managing a distributed team of up to 10
  • Experience in project management, especially projects that are customer facing
  • Background in customer service or related field - proven ability to assess customer/student needs and turn that knowledge into action
  • Proven ability to drive change and produce measurable results
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects (and competing priorities) and stay organized, on schedule and on budget
  • Collaborative, driven, proactive and self-reliant
  • Composed under pressure
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in technology and/or education a plus
  • Experience developing and managing a mentorship program a plus
