Paragraph Styles1:54 with Ashley Burke
Paragraph Styles include both Character Styling attributes, like font size, style, and color, as well as Paragraph Attributes such as indents, alignment, and tabs.
Next, we will apply a paragraph style. 0:00 So I'm gonna go to my other tab here. 0:03 And paragraph styles include both character formatting attributes such as 0:07 font, size, style, and color, along with paragraph attributes such as indents, 0:12 alignments, tabs, and hyphenation, as well as line spacing, which is helpful too. 0:17 We are gonna be using this for our body text, so I'll grab my Type tool. 0:24 I'm gonna select Paragraph, and I will Option-click 0:29 here to create a new style, and call this body. 0:35 And you'll see here in our paragraph style options box, 0:41 we do have Indents and Spacing tabs. 0:46 We have some different things that we didn't have before, Hyphenation. 0:49 Okay, and I want to assign this one as well, so 0:54 I would just select it and hit Body, and Shift-click to assign that. 0:59 And now, if I wanted to change those, as before, I would double-click, change 1:05 the options, and it would globally change everything that was assigned body text. 1:09 And if you have created all of your character or 1:15 paragraph styles in another document, and you want to import them into your 1:18 current document, you can do that as well, which can really be a time saver. 1:23 So you go up here in your top right, and there it is, Load Character Styles. 1:28 So Load Character Styles and 1:35 you would choose the document, like when we were doing the swatches, 1:38 that has the styles inside of it and it would just import those styles. 1:42 And that can save a lot of time. 1:46 Next, we'll be placing in our roster images and 1:49 talking about masking in Illustrator. 1:51
