Best WordPress Themes2:00 with Zac Gordon
When searching for great WordPress themes you will find a lot of blog posts listing out best WordPress sites by year or niche.
It's quite possible that you won't find a theme that works for
you within the WordPress.org repository.
This could happen because a theme just doesn't exist in there that you like.
Or it could be that it's just hard to search and
find from within the admin area, or the WordPress.org site.
It seems common sense, but one of the great ways to search for
a WordPress theme is simply by searching for the type of theme that you want.
We could see here that when we search for free responsive WordPress themes,
we get a site that has a list of quite a number of them.
When we scroll through here, we could see a list of screenshots,
as well as links to demo or to download the theme.
If we find a free theme online that we like, and we download the zip file of it,
it's quite easy to activate and install that theme on our site.
All we have to do is come back to our domain name,
Go into our admin area by adding wp-admin to the end.
Clicking under Appearance > Themes.
And then here, instead of searching, we'll click on Upload,
where we could find and upload the zipped file directly into WordPress.
Again, installing a theme only copies the files onto your server.
It doesn't actually change the look and feel of your site.
In order to do that, you have to activate the theme.
