BuddyPress Status Updates1:48 with Zac Gordon
Status Updates in BuddyPress let members add short posts that show up in a variety of places on the site. A user's status update will likely show on their profile page and the main activity stream for the site. In this video we look at status updates in BuddyPress.
Now, let's click on our self using the top right menu, and
then click on our Activity feed. On our
Activity feed, is where we have the ability to post status updates.
When we post a status update it will appear on our own activity feed,
as well as under the main activity feed for the entire site.
For each status update or status post we have the ability to comment on it.
[SOUND] Mark it as our favorite,
or, delete it.
Now, notice that when I come to my own profile and click on favorites, I could
see that I favorited one of these posts, and I can remove that favorite if I want.
If we log out as this user, and log in as our main admin again, and
look at the site, we can see that we can also comment on this.
We can favorite it.
And, since we're an admin for this site, we
could also delete the post if we feel it's appropriate.
Notice also that when I click into the
user's profile, and look on their activity stream.
I could see their recent posts, as well as, their recent comments.
