Design thinking is just like any other skill. The more you practice, the better you’ll become. Just remember that these methods and mindsets can fit into just about any scenario ranging from product design to planning a first date. Use your newfound powers wisely and good luck!
We started this course by getting to know Stable Sarah.
Rather than just guessing at the problem or simply going along with what
the product team might think is a cool feature, we identified where Stable Sarah
had difficulty accomplishing a task that was important to her.
We idiated, prioritized and mapped out a long-term plan for these ideas.
Finally, we discussed how to present those ideas to an audience of stakeholders.
In the end, it's all about mindset over methods.
You learned methods here, but get creative.
And once you're comfortable, come up with your methods.
The important thing is to do it all in service of your user.
That's the mindset, empathy.
And just remember, you are not your user.
