WooCommerce Order Statuses1:17 with Zac Gordon
WooCommerce comes with several default order statuses that are set based on different events, like processing, refunded, cancelled, etc. In this video we look at these different order statuses and what they mean.
In the WooCommerce documentation, they explain the different types of orders or
order statuses that you can have in WooCommerce.
They're pretty straightforward, and
you'll notice that a number of them have to do with the payment status.
For example, its pending payment, failed, cancelled, or refunded.
And then some of them have to do with fulfillment of shipping or being in stock.
For example, the processing, completed, or on hold.
There are some custom extensions that also let
you extend the default order statuses if you need more than these options.
So let's come back into our order section, and
we can see that the first thing here we have, is the status of the order.
If you're running a shop, for example, that needs to handle shipping,
as with this product, you would then wait til the product was shipped, and
then check Completed, at which point you could save the order.
When this happens,
the user should get an email saying that your order is now complete.
If at some point you need to refund or
cancel the order, you may need to update the status from within WooCommerce.
