Flask Track Trailer0:52 with Kenneth Love
Flask is one of the easiest ways to bring your Python skills online. It's a great microframework used by thousands of people to create prototypes and small web apps.
Flask has only been around since about 2010.
But, it has become a very common and a very powerful framework for
building both small app prototypes and full fledged applications.
Flask has a very healthy ecosystem of packages around it too
to help reduce the amount of wheels that you have to reinvent.
In this track, we're gonna see how to use Flask to build small and
medium-sized web applications.
We'll use all of the tools at our disposal, and take advantage of HTTP
methods, cookies, sessions, databases and ORMs, template inheritance and more.
And, thanks to the work spaces here at Treehouse,
we'll be able to do it all right here.
No local installation necessary.
If you're comfortable with Python and
want to turn your skills toward turning web applications, Flask is a great choice.
Whether it's your final framework freezing Python on the web, or
you move on to django, or Pyramid Flask will serve you well.
Don't let the micro-framework label throw you,
Flask is the little framework that could.
