Sign upAmit Bijlani: Hi everyone. I'm Amit, and I want to introduce you to this week's forum contest. 0:00 What is it? Well, it's a chance for iOS developers to build an iOS app. 0:04 What app are we going to build? Well, we'll build a simple calculator app. 0:10 Now, every iPhone comes with a calculator app. So, let's take a look at it. 0:14 You have a number keypad where you can punch in the numbers, 0:19 and towards the right you have all the function keys in orange. 0:23 Now, this calculator is a fully functional calculator 0:27 where you can add, subtract, or divide, or multiply. 0:30 Let's keep it simple, and just have a calculator where you can add numbers. 0:34 If you want to go ahead and add all the other functionality, great. 0:40 Go for it. We're not going to stop you. 0:44 But, to keep things simple, because we have only one week for the contest, 0:46 let's just do a calculator app where you can add numbers. 0:51 Now, you will be judged on the design and the code of your apps, 0:55 so make sure that you make your app look nice, and, of course, write good code. 0:59 So, there you have it. A calculator app where you can add numbers, and more if you want. 1:04 Good luck, everyone. 1:10
