From Bootstrap to WordPress Project Overview1:34 with Zac Gordon
Bootstrap is a popular front-end CSS and JS framework that we will show how to convert into and use as the basis for a WordPress theme.
In this course, we cover how to build a reusable Word
Press theme, starting with the
popular front end development framework, Bootstrap.
The theme we build will have all of the
be ready for us to use anywhere in our
theme templates, or content areas accessible in the admin area.
We'll start with showing how to set up and create our basic file structure.
And then we'll move into building a number of different default layout
template options, that we could easily choose from while editing our pages.
This will give us a very flexible theme that we could
likely reuse as a starting point for different projects in the future.
To enhance our template beyond just simple CSS grid layouts, we'll also add in a
like off-canvas content and custom post type sliders.
This course will work best for people who already have
some experience working with both Bootstrap and WordPress theme development.
You don't have to be an expert in either, but we're going to focus more on how to
integrate these two together rather than covering either one in depth on its own.
So if you're ready to get started, lets
download Bootstrap and setup our WordPress development environment.
