Going Further with Vue1:23 with Treasure Porth
Excellent work completing Vue.js Basics! What's next?
We've barely scratched the surface of everything that Vue can do, components,
routing, state management, custom directives, and more.
But that's the beauty of Vue.
It was designed to grow, not only with the complexity of your projects, but
with your comfort and skill level.
Unlike other popular frameworks, such as React, which can be used minimally, but
is almost universally used with potentially complicated tooling and
build processes, it's perfectly acceptable and encouraged to use Vue as we've
used it today, as a lightweight tool to make it easier to interact with the DOM.
You've got a strong foundation now to be productive, and build something awesome
before you move onto the next step, and I would encourage you to do so.
See what enhancements you can add to the flashcard or accordion app.
Use what you've learned to overhaul or re-factor an existing project,
and don't forget to make use of Vue's excellent resources and examples.
At vuejs.org you'll find a dozen interactive example projects,
which I'll link to in the teacher's notes, as well as cookbooks that can help you
learn best practices and commonly used patterns.
When you're ready look into building out components with Vue.
The documentation is a great place to start.
Until next time, have fun, keep coding, and
feel free to tweet me anything that you build.
Simple or complex, I'd love to see it.
