Introducing Tuples0:58 with Ashley Boucher
Hi there, I'm Ashley Boucher and I'll be your instructor for
this short course introducing tuples.
Check the teachers notes to make sure you've completed all the prerequisites
before moving on.
In this course, we're going to talk about Python tuples, that's T-U-P-L-E-S.
You might hear some people call tuples, tuples, and
there's some debate about the proper pronunciation.
But for this course we'll be calling them tuples.
A tuple is a type of Python sequence, a sequence is an ordered group of things.
Python recognizes six different types of these ordered groups,
two of which you're probably already familiar with, lists and strings.
But we're only going to be introducing one of them, the tuple, in this course.
A tuple is a lot like a Python list, but with a slightly different syntax and
one key difference.
Keep moving forward to learn what that difference is.
