Linking It All Up2:40 with Treasure Porth
In this lesson, you will learn how to link up the new resume page to the profile site.
The final step in making our personal website complete is to link it up with our brand new resume.html file. We've already practiced linking to other websites on the internet, but now we need to create a link to a page on our own website!
Luckily, the way to do this is pretty easy! Let's take a look at some of the links we've written earlier in the course:
<li><a href="http://twitter.com/treehouse" target="_blank" class="social twitter">Twitter</a></li>
See how we've used the the
http://twitter.com/treehouse url for our
href attribute? All we need to do to link to a page that we've created, in this folder, is to enter its name!
Now when we click the link, we can go straight to our brand new resume.html file.
A quick coding challenge for you:
Can you think about how you might be able to link back to our homepage at
index.html? Try adding an extra
<a></a> tag in your resume.html file to see if you can link it all together!
