Overview of the Legend chart element.
Legends are a part of data visualization, too.
We're not talking about Babe Ruth, Paul Bunyan, or Will Smith.
We're talking about the element of a chart
that shows the names of each of the data series.
In our COGS chart,
we already have a legend in the chart area, right here at the bottom.
You can choose to put your legend on either side of the plot area or
have it overlap with the plot area itself.
Let's take a look at that right now.
So you can see, you can have it to the right, move it to the top, left,
and then with more legend options.
There's an option to show the legend without overlapping the chart.
So I wanna unclick that, and I'm gonna move it to the top.
And you can see that now, the legend is in the plot area.
I generally like to put my legend at the bottom of the chart area,
not overlapping the plot area.
Sometimes, you don't even need a legend if the chart only includes one data series,
Your chart title may suffice.
