What did you come up with? Does it motivate the user to finish their profile? Here's one solution.

Does it motivate the user
to finish their profile?
0:02
Here's the solution I made.
0:05
Here, I'm showing a profile
photo of the user.
0:08
I'm just using a photo
of myself in this case.
0:12
Around the photo, I have this incomplete
circle that represents a progress meter.
0:15
The more complete the circle,
the more complete the profile.
0:22
This gives the user some idea of
how much more they have to go,
0:27
relative to how much
they've already filled in.
0:32
Then below that there's a list of
actions that they can take next,
0:35
which are hyperlinked with
a little check box next to them.
0:40
Ideally, these hyperlinks would
be contextual, and take them
0:45
to the exact location within the app,
where they should fill in more detail.
0:49
Showing these next actions gives
the user some idea of what types of
0:54
things they can do to
complete their profile.
0:58
If your design looks a lot
different than mine, don't worry.
1:02
Problems like these come with
many different solutions.
1:06
What's important here is that you get
practice thinking about the problem itself
1:10
and working through it.
