Sign up[MUSIC] 0:00 Let's talk about Workspaces. 0:04 Workspaces is an online text editor and 0:07 development environment that is integrated with Treehouse. 0:09 It's there for you to practice coding alongside the instructor. 0:12 Courses that focus on coding will have a green launch workspace button. 0:16 Clicking this button will launch Workspaces in a separate browser. 0:20 I recommend using two browser windows side-by-side so 0:23 that you're able to watch the video and code along at the same time. 0:27 The instructor will walk you through what to type and which buttons to click. 0:31 One button you'll use often is the preview workspace button, which looks like an eye. 0:35 Clicking this button will run your code in a new tab and 0:40 you're able to preview your code in a browser. 0:43 One tip, make sure to save your code before previewing it. 0:46 If you don't save, you won't see the result of your changes. 0:50 You know you've saved your changes if none of the file tabs in 0:53 Workspaces have this orange dot. 0:56 There is so much more to Workspaces. 0:58 I've put a link in the Teacher's Notes below to our in-depth video on Workspaces. 1:00
