User Authorization with ASP.NET Identity
Coming May 2018…
About this Course
In this course, you'll learn how to leverage user authorization to restrict access to part of an application and to control what actions users can and cannot perform. You'll update an existing ASP.NET MVC application to use Microsoft's ASP.NET Identity system to implement authorization using both roles and claims.
What you'll learn
- Use authorization to restrict access to users assigned to a specific role or claim
- Understand the differences between user roles and claims
- Control the actions that a user can perform based upon roles or claims
Implementing Authorization Using Roles
Let's see how we can leverage authorization and user roles to restrict access to part of our application and to control what actions users can and cannot perform.
Implementing Authorization Using Claims
Let's refactor our authorization implementation to use user claims.
