Menus in WordPress1:23 with Zac Gordon
Unless the developer has specifically setup your site to add new pages to the main navigation you will likely have to use WordPress’s menu section to determine what pages display in your navigation. Depending on your WordPress theme you may have more than one menu on your site. In this video you will learn how to update menus on your WordPress site.
[Zac Gordon] By default, WordPress will add each new page you create to the main navigation.
However, WordPress has a rich menu administration section that allows you to create custom menus
where you could fine tune exactly what pages and links show up in your navigation.
You can even have more than one menu on your site.
To adding menus, you'll need admin level access. Once you have that, you could go on to your appearance and then click on menus.
You'll notice that at the top of the page, we have the option to select the menu we want to edit.
In this case, our theme has 2 menus. We're going to click in to select the primary menu.
Notice that under menu settings, there's an option here to automatically add pages.
If this option is unchecked like on this one,
it means that we have to manually add pages whenever we want them to appear in our main menu.
If we ever want to add a page into our menu, under pages, we could click on view all, select the page we want to add,
and then simply add to menu.
