Hey Team Treehouse!
I've taken a few courses on Coursera and noticed that they have a "fast forward option" in order to speed up the course lecture video.
Just wondering if there's any plans have having a feature like this as I think it would be useful in helping us speeding up our learning.
Thanks guys and you're doing a kick butt job!

Treehouse Project ReviewerHmm... I've never felt the need to fast forward a video when I'm learning something new, but I go back to old videos all. the. time. So it might be useful, but I usually just skip around. My biggest problem is that the video just stops randomly and I need to refresh my page to get it to start up again. This is the only site where that happens to me.

7,027 PointsHey Ernest,
I'm finding that the videos stop randomly too, which is a bit annoying and disruptive in terms of user experience/learning, but I just try to jump back to where I was right away.

Treehouse Project ReviewerReally? Glad to see I'm not the only one. What browser are you using? I'm in Chrome, but I haven't tried other browsers honestly.

4,053 PointsI prefer downloading the videos and whenever I need to rewatch them, that's the time I use the faster play option of VLC. It's a big time saver. It's like watching an 8 min video in 4-5 min or less.

That seems to be a good work around I suppose.

5,885 PointsI have the same problem with the videos randomly pausing. I too need to refresh the page to get the video restarted.
Lynda.com has a feature where you can watch the video at different speeds. i find that to be extremely helpful. For the concepts I am familiar with, I can watch at a faster pace.

Treehouse Project ReviewerHmm... I totally neglected the download option. That's a good tip.

2,351 PointsI would love the ability to watch the videos on 1.5x the speed. Almost every other company with video tutorials has this feature. <feature request please :)>

5,308 PointsAgree, I'd like to be able to watch the videos at 1.5x.

2,351 PointsOfficial feature request has been made. I wonder if there is a place for feature requests or if admins respond/read these threads?

5,880 PointsMy videos stop randomly, too. It's hella annoying. I'm on Chrome, with no ad block enabled on the site...

5,880 PointsI've confirmed that this is an issue with Chrome. The freezing is no longer a problem when I use Safari.
How strange.
