how is this wrong?

it says 1.4rem for the font-size for the .title. so i have font-size: 1.4rem;

Your 768px media query is nested within the 1020px media query.

You need to take the 768 media query and it's contents outside of the other media query. Your selectors and properties are correct, you've just nested the second media query inside the first.
