More detail on the new 'Treehouse Points'?

Okay so when I first signed up to Treehouse It was mostly to achieve my dreams to become a 'Web Overlord', a sovereign of the interwebz (or just a freelancer with big ideas) AND partly to use the profile for credibility.

The profile can be seen publicly which is great but I think for those of us looking to link our profile to our website or bring it up in an interview / CV it would be great to have something the client or hiring company can look at and make sense of. Currently the points have no value. I have 600 odd points in HTML, but those points don't resemble anything. They don't indicate what level of skill I'm at, what the total is..ya know, how good I am.

Also a sticky topic 'Forum Rules' would be cool (so I avoid using BB where its not enabled :P)

also classify badges by topic when i'ts possible would be great...

right now they are all scrambled and don't make any sense.

Gonzalo Garay , I think badges sorted by topic is in the pipeline. Numerous users have requested that be implemented.

This is great feedback Lee Hobbs, thanks!

I'm copying in Jeremy Jantz and Nick Pettit so they see this thread.

Hi everyone,

This is great feedback! Rest assured, adding the concept of "Points" to Treehouse is just the beginning and we plan to do a lot more with them. I can't say much more than that because we're still working on a lot of rough ideas, but I think you'll be excited to see where things go over the next few months and later this year! :)
