Points where I shouldn't?

I have 7 points in ruby, and I've never done anything with ruby. How did I possibly get these?

It seems that there are a few Deep Dives that are sort of a grab-bag and thus give you points in random areas. When I did "DNS Basics", I got 7 points each in php, ruby, and business, even though I haven't yet done any courses in those areas.

I'm not sure if that's a bug or intentional. A cool feature would be if on your profile you could click on your points in the various areas and see where they came from. For example, you could click on where it says you have 7 points in ruby and it would display what you did to earn those points.

This is probably what happened then, because if I recall they showed up sometime after I did DNS Basics.

I'd recommend you contact support directly at help@teamtreehouse.com and let them know about the issue only they can say if it's a bug or a feature.
