why?

Just not getting it.

Hi Jake, you have a couple of syntax errors in your code:

for( var i = 2, i <= 24, i += 2) { //need ';' not ','
 console.log(i) //need to close statement with semi-colan
}

You simply need to rectify these syntax errors and your code should run fine:

for( var i = 2; i <= 24; i += 2) { //changed to ';'
 console.log(i); //added ';'
}

Semi-colons at the end of instructions are optionnal but recommended, however semi-colons in the for loop are required.

Try to use semicolons rather than commas in the statement. Should run.
