So how do you go about getting it?

A great place to start is with your family, friends, and personal contacts.

A lot of freelancers new to the field get their first clients through people they already know.

Since there's already an established trust factor, these people are more likely to work with a new or inexperienced designer or developer.

The key to carrying this out successfully is to treat your friend or family member just as you would a client.

Now this can be very difficult, but it's necessary if you want to protect both your relationship and your project.

It's quite hard to say no to a friend—demanding as they may unknowingly be—
