jQuery Basics (2017)
Coming September 2017…
About this Course
jQuery Basics covers why you'd want to use jQuery, what it is and how to include it in your projects. You'll build several projects over the course to give you the confidence to integrate jQuery in your own projects and add that level of flair and interactivity to any site you work on.
Introduction to jQuery
In this section we'll explore what jQuery is, how to include it in your projects and create our first jQuery application.
Manipulating the DOM with jQuery
jQuery allows you to manipulate the DOM in multiple ways: controlling the visibility of elements, updating the content of elements, updating the attributes of elements and controlling the styles of elements.
Events with jQuery
jQuery can help you add events on elements existing on a page and dynamically added elements. You can access the event object and stop the browser from performing it's default user interaction too. This section covers all of that and more!
Traversal with jQuery
jQuery makes it easier to traverse between elements. jQuery allows to travel up and down the DOM tree between children and parents and side to side between siblings.
