Android Setup and the Crystal Ball Project

Hi TeamTreeHouse,

I’m have issue when trying to start a New Andriod Application .My version is Android 4.4 Kit Kat but in the Tutiorial it is a Android 4.1 (Jeally Bean). It’s telling me to slect the Target SDK Android 4.1 in the Tutiorial.

Would I have to select a Device on here to create new Android Virtual Device

Hi Demarcus,

Check the links in the Teacher Note's section of the video page: http://teamtreehouse.com/library/build-a-simple-android-app/getting-started-with-android/android-setup-and-the-crystal-ball-project-2

I added some screenshots that will hopefully show you how to walk through this. You can use 4.4 and any device for the emulator. :)

Hi Ben, I tried to do the same as shown in the screenshots...but the project is not getting installed on the emulator. Also i created my own android device and created its avd...same problem!! Kindly help!! :)

Sorry you're having trouble! You should get some kind of error message in the Console or Logcat tab of Eclipse. Can you create a new question here in the Forum and copy and paste the error in it? That should help us troubleshoot with you.
