CSS CSS Grid Layout Going Further with Grid Layout Position Items by Grid Lines

container > * selector

How does the container > * selector work to allow for padding on the inside of the grid?

1 Answer

Azzie Fuzzie the "> *" selects all the direct children of the .container element. The * means every type of element. If you wanted to add padding to only divs that were direct children of the container element you could do the following ".container > div". I hope this answers your question.
