The <label> tag need to wrap the elements it's labelling. Otherwise, how else would it know exactly which element's are to be labelled?:

    <input type="radio" id="small" value="small" name="shirt_size">
    <input type="radio" id="medium" value="medium" name="shirt_size">
    <input type="radio" id="large" value="large" name="shirt_size">

</label>

It looks like you have somehow moved the radio buttons inside of your select option. The shirt size label and the radio buttons should come after the closing </select> tag

You need another set of values. You were trying to combine them:
