Task "1" is now not passing.

Tried everything, what am i missing

even.py 
import random
start = 5
while start != False:
    num = random.randint(1,99)
    def even_odd(num):
        return not num % 2
        print ("{} is even".format(num))
    else:
        print("{} is odd".format(num))
    start -=1    


    # If % 2 is 0, the number is even.
    # Since 0 is falsey, we have to invert it with not.

You cant define a function in a loop.

This is how I would structure the code:

import random

def even_odd(num): # If % 2 is 0, the number is even. # Since 0 is falsey, we have to invert it with not. return not num % 2

start = 5

while start > 0: number = random.randint(1,99) if even_odd(number) == True: print(number, " is even") else: print(number, " is odd") start -= 1
