"1 / 3 Steps Complete" for Tech Degree??

Hi there, I just was doing my lessons and this one particular lesson I had something pop up to the side stating (The title). Does this mean I have 1 / 3 of my tech degree lessons complete? Im only on my 2nd project preparing courses out of 12, but since this lesson has been so big im wondering if I really am through 1 / 3 of my degree.

I'm not a techdegree student, but if that's the same message I get, it's just saying you've completed 1 of the recommended minimum 3 steps for the day.

I'm not sure what the importance of this "recommendation" is; I know that any day I study at all, I do many more than just 3 steps. But I think it's just another feature to help you stay motivated.
