1.0x payback speed is very slow

I've noticed that the default 1.0x playback speed seems VERY slow and labored during explanations. It almost seems like the videos are intentionally slowed down during the lesson/explanations and then brought back to normal for the intro/conclusion sections with the instructor's face. During the lesson, somewhere between 1.25x and 1.5x seems like it is a natural speaking rhythm. Is anyone else noticing this? Watching the videos on my Android devices is unbearable since I can't speed up the playback.

Can anyone from product confirm or deny that 1.0x is slowed down from the original recording?

I feel the same way. I generally watch most videos in 2x speed. I think the slowest I watch anything is about 1.5x. For some of the complex content hey probably kept the pace pretty slow by default to help people out.

In general, I think 1.5 is about normal speaking cadence.
