Python Object-Oriented Python Instant Objects Master Class

2 Attempts: 1) using kwargs, and 2) modifying __init__ (shown)

1) Using kwargs but confused by setattr and redcar instance (red,10,laps=10),

2) - adding lap to init as shown.

Then what else am I missing?

racecar.py
class RaceCar:
    #laps = 0

    def __init__(self, color, fuel_remaining, laps, **kwargs):
        self.color = color
        self.fuel_remaining = fuel_remaining
        self.laps = laps

        for key, value in kwargs.items():
            setattr(self, key, value)

    def run_lap(self, length):
        self.laps += 1
        self.fuel_remaining -= length * 0.125
        return self.fuel_remaining

 red_car = RaceCar(red,10,10)

I also tried the following. I get try again.

class RaceCar: laps = 0

    def __init__(self, color, fuel_remaining, **kwargs):
        self.color = color
        self.fuel_remaining = fuel_remaining

        for key, value in kwargs.items():
            setattr(self, key, value)

    def run_lap(self, length):
        self.laps += 1
        self.fuel_remaining -= length * 0.125
        return self.fuel_remaining

red_car = RaceCar(red, 10, laps=10)
