A question about HOSTING possibilities!

Hi everyone! I found this hosting website while searching for one to use for myself and the offert seems nice.

I wouldn't mind if you could take a look yourself and reply to the questions: "Is it worth a try? Is it trustable?"

They're trustworthy, and fairly reliable. At the company I work for, we were on an unmanaged VPS on StartLogic, and moved over to a managed VPS on iPower for not much more money per month. StartLogic, iPower, iPage, and a few other hosts are actually all under the same roof, owned by the same company. As a matter of fact, when we moved from Start Logic to iPower, my dedicated VPS suppport number didn't change, it was still the same tech guys.

Issues and Outages I've had.

Our websites and email servers crashed for basically a full day. My guess was total services were down for 6-10 hours. It really sucked, but they credited our account a free month of service for the problem.

We've had on scheduled outage, which happened in the early morning hours, we noticed no issues and they sent an email before it happened. My guess is the outage time was only about 10-15 minutes.

They phone in support is pretty good. It's usually quick and easy to get a hold of an actual tech guy, wait time is usually only a minute or two, an they are pretty responsive to fixing issues, but again we have a VPS, which might have a different level of phone support than a shared plan.

I don't really have a problem with them

Contacted their support center. It seems they support PHP 5.3.1, Ruby and Python. So that's fairly good.

That's a good base, I was just worried about the timings and subscription. That's just 1 year, isn't it?

yes 1 year! $36.42 USD hosting plus domain.. I need to make my personal home page, and I was looking for a cheap hosting solution.. This could be a good idea. I could try my php+css+html skills to make my webpage

The one offered by treehouse is really a good one, indeed. I bought it from iPage because they were offering free domain (1year) + 3 year of subscription + domain privacy(1year) at 90$. I also added some custom protection for 10$, but at the end of the 3 years Ill be spending something like 140$ which is not bad (Also unlimited bandwidth, DB, Emails, space and subdomains, which is great!)
