About Automatically add new top-level pages to this menu

It was mentioned in a video tutorial https://teamtreehouse.com/library/managing-menus

that you can add automatically new top-level pages to an existing menu,

Have created a new page without to be checked Automatically add new top-level pages to this menu and automaticaly created a new page that was inserted in the existing menu.

Afterward enabled the choice of Automatically add new top-level pages to this menu and created another page. It was also inserted to the existing menu the new created page.

Enabling or disabling the setting of Automatically add new top-level pages to this menu doesnt play any role, seems that doesnt do nothing this setting.

If you could assist about, if there is something that this setting is uesd for,

Thank You,
