about the email link

Hi all, I have a question about the email link presented in this video. After I link my email to my contact page, I clicked it in the preview. But it didn't show anything at all. I thought it meant to go directly to email page or something. Since I used my real email, it should have worked right? Any reply will be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Mr.Yan,

May we get a visual of the HTML and CSS code? That should give us an idea what issue you're looking at right now.

My recollection of that course is that the code for sending the email is not there. That code will not send an email without more. The PHP course creates a form that does send the email, but the code for sending is imported from another source. Many, but not all, web servers have a native method for sending mail, which is why the external code is brought in.

You're right, without the back-end code there wouldn't be way to process the form information and send it to an email that would be designated. However, the way I understood is that by clicking on the email on your page it would direct you towards your contact page.

I may not understood your question fully, although, if I or anybody else can look at the code, we can understand the question much better.
