About.html and Contact.html

My "About" and "Contact" links exhibit an odd behavior. When clicking the "contact" link my 2 columns appear, however it doesn't stay dark green. The "About" link stays dark.

Hi Charles,

You need to move the "selected" class to your contact link in contact.html

<li><a href="index.html" >Portfolio</a></li>
<li><a href="about.html">About</a></li>
<li><a href="contact.html" class="selected">Contact</a></li>

For each of your pages, the "selected" class needs to be with the link for that page.

Stuff like this happens when you copy and paste from file to file and you forget to change it. I know it's frustrating in the beginning but this will happen to you more than once over the course of your Web Design and Development career.
