Usually this common error could means:

• You have not created the username: "vibetothrive"
• Godaddy adds a prefix to the username or database (Please double check)
• Password could be wrong (never knows)

Please check this and provide us more information to help you out.

I do have the username vibetothrive. I use that username to log in to starfield which is godaddy's php my admin. It almost looks identical to the one xampp installs on your computer. I go over the to box on the left to paste the sql code from shirtsformike.sql and those are the errors it gives me. I think im missing some step. Here's my code, which is basically the sql code from shirtsformike.sql

Let me explain you this a little simple:

Let's say you : created the database and user under Godaddy panel. So, you went thru PhpMyadmin and imported the sql file. (You didn't changed anything at this time, ok?) So,

You uploaded the html and php files to your web folder. Now, you have to edit the file where you connect to the database. So you are go to the file where you have

$hostname="mysql.secureserver.net"; // You need to be sure which is your hostname, since godady does not uses localhost
$username="your_dbusername";
$password="your_dbpassword";
$dbname="your_dbusername";

Is this what you needed? if not, please explain a little bit more where you are having issues connecting, since you said that the phpmyadmin is working fine with your username and password. So my only guess is that you are trying to connect from php file where you have LOCALHOST as hostname and Godaddy have another hostname.

Wouldn't be easier to import it, instead pasting the code to create it? check if this link works for you link

Also I think that the reason you are, getting this error is because the database is already created so you won't be able to execute the statement - CREATE DATABASE. Instead, replace it with "USE productlist" or the actual name of the database.
