Account retrieval but hard to get any support

Hi, my son is learning to code.

He signed up on this website and according to the login section the email he has submitted is not in use.

Which means he accidentally signed up with a typo on the email address.

There is no support options apart from email, find that a little novice to be honest because issue like this arise.

He signed up for the free trial to see if coding is really what he likes and if it wasn't then so harm done and didn't cost him anything knowing if it is something he would like to do.

As he only has 7 days free trial, and even though it was his fault making a typo, and as a developer myself it is poor practice that you do not have a verification on the emails to make sure a type error does not occur.

A simple input form asking them to type their email again to make sure both match.

When an email is a must to sign in, safety measures should have been taken, or at least a support team to help either by online live chat or a phone number.

What happens now? he has emailed but what if they do not answer within time period? what happens to the free trial as obviously the trial would have ran down?

I am writing on behalf of my son and not myself here.

Thanks

Im sorry to hear that try to contact the support directly at (help@teamtreehouse.com) Maybe a staff member can help you too but most of us (like me) in the community are normal customers as well :)

Yeah already done that :)

I just think for a website like this, support should not be an email, especially when the membership is at a premium compared to other such websites.

Not sure I can personally trust a website that does not offer a viable support method.

Thanks Raffael for your response :)
