Hey so I am learning iOS i have never programmed anything before or have any programming skills And I want to do this app that tells you the traffic and the waiting time of the border time from Mexico to USA and it is given by the page of the USA Border patrol in an RSS , but can I change that data how I want to display it?
For example:
if the RSS SAYS:
description> Hours: 24 hrs/day <br/> Date: 8/26/2013 <h4>Commercial Vehicles</h4> Maximum Lanes: 3 <br/> Standard Lanes: At 3:00 pm PDT 35 min 3 lane(s) open <br/>
I want that in the app says with my own font: Lanes open 3 and Time 35 min and that the user can refresh the app so it refresh the RSS
THANKS

12,216 PointsI took a look at one of the feeds. It looks like it might be tough because all of the data is in one <description> tag. You might have to do some string matching behind the scenes and once you find the string you are looking for you can store it in a variable or variables then use an [NSString stringWithFormat:] to arrange the output into the format you'd like.

12,216 PointsNo problem. If you need more help along the way come on back and get more guidance. I'm sure someone will be able to help. I don't want to play favorites with the instructors but the iOS instructors seem to be better than most at interacting in the forums and answering questions.

1,516 PointsCan you explain me with what code you can do string matching or in what video it tells you how to do it?
