Add a CSS to a page?

Hi. When you are going to link your css file to your index page. Treehouse teaches you to write:

<link rel="stylesheet" href="css/style.css">

It's not necessary to add: type="text/css" ???

Thank you!

It's not required with the HTML5 spec, but for older versions of HTML it's needed.

So unless you're working in a company where the website is a bit old, you're unlikely to need to add that. Even so get them to update!
