You made a few mistakes.

  1. private String mColor = "red"; public GoKart(String mColor) {

You shouldnt really call your passed in parameter the same as a member field.

  1. You forgot the end curly brace of constructor.
public class GoKart {
  private String mColor = "red";

  public GoKart(String color) {
    mColor = color;
  }

  public String getColor() {
    return mColor;
  }
}
