Java

Add a variable to store a user’s first name using console.readLine. Make sure the variable is the camel cased representa

I don't understand at all!

2 Answers

String firstName;

the variable is firstName. it is also in camel case as it starts with a small letter 'f' and instead of having a space between first and name, we make 'N' a capital letter. thie is how camel case is achieved.

for the second step, its done as below;

firstName = console.readline("What is your First Name: ");

So the code should be as below;

String firstName;
firstName = console.readline("What is your First Name: ");

Please give me a shout if this helps and if not...rephrase the question

Try this:

// I have imported java.io.Console for you. It is a variable called console.
String firstName = console.readLine("First name:  ");
console.printf("Hello, my name is %s.\n", firstName);
console.printf("%s is learning how to write java!\n", firstName);
