Add Mongo db to path on windows to access mongo from anywhere

  • copy the path C:\Program Files\MongoDB\Server\4.0\bin
  • search for environment variables
  • under user variables, select path and edit
  • click on New and paste the copied path
  • restart cmd and the commands should now work without navigating to the directory
