Adding a blog section to your website ?

Just wondering if anyone has any helpful sites or tips they can give me when trying to add a blog onto your own website ? Wordpress seems to be very popular but it seems a bit heavy for a simple blog :( can anyone offer any help on a simple, customisable and lightweight blog(CMS) to use ?

Honestly if you're looking for something that has pre-built custom post types right out of the box, you can modify Tumblr themes really easily. Just create a cName to point to their IP and you're all good.

Then again, this is one answer from one person so take it with a grain of salt.
