Adding additional jQuery effects to a Foundation/Bootstrap Website

I have been working through the Framework Basics Project, and I was wondering. Foundation and Bootstrap allow you to create great looking websites really quickly, but what if you wanted to add effects beyond what they have already built? Example, right below the "top-bar" with the main nav have a long "sub-nav" slide down (jQurey) when a main nav item is clicked (not using the dropdown feature).

I haven't combined the two but it seems there wouldn't be anything stopping you from doing that.
